Our Pastor
Dr. Kito D. March Sr.
Senior Pastor
Dr. Kito D. March, Sr. is a passionate pastor, teacher, and leader who has faithfully served the Missionary Baptist Church for more than thirty years. Licensed to preach in 1991 and ordained in 1994, his call to ministry began early—at just sixteen years old—in Dothan, Alabama. Since then, Dr. March has devoted his life to helping churches grow deeper, healthier, and more connected to God and their communities.
At the heart of his ministry is The S.E.A.L. of the Church—a strategic framework centered on Structure, Economics, Administration, and Leadership. This approach reflects Dr. March’s commitment to revitalizing churches while honoring the sacred legacy of the pastors and pioneers who came before.
Dr. March is both a practitioner and a scholar. His academic journey includes a General Bible Diploma, a Bachelor of Arts in Theology, a Master of Arts in Ministry, a Master of Arts in Theological Studies, and a Doctor of Ministry. He previously served as Senior Pastor of Second Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Cleveland, Ohio, and has provided leadership at the state and national levels through the Congress of Christian Education. He currently serves on the Board and Faculty of the National Congress of Christian Education and has been a featured presenter on topics ranging from church leadership to post-pandemic worship engagement.
Beyond the pulpit, Dr. March’s influence extends into higher education and public dialogue. He has served in management at the University of Akron, delivered keynote addresses—including the university’s MLK Jr. Celebration—and lectured nationally on academic integrity and assessment through the National College Testing Association. His voice has also been welcomed in civic spaces, including as a featured speaker for the FBI Cleveland Division’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission.
Above all, Dr. March is a family man. He has been married for over thirty one years to his high school sweetheart, Lady LeJeune M. March, and together they have raised four children and joyfully embrace life with four grandchildren. His ministry is grounded not only in vision and strategy, but in faith, love, and authentic connection.
